Basketball Recap: Grulla Comes Up Short

Grulla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 64-30 loss at the hands of the Freer Buckaroos. The Gators were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-12.

Grulla's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Freer, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grulla will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Economedes at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th. As for Freer, they will challenge McMullen County at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.
