Basketball Recap: Riley Aguilar's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Banning over Bloomington

If Banning was riding high fresh off their 62-40 takedown of Arroyo Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Banning Broncos took a 64-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bloomington Bruins on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Broncos of the 59-37 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Banning lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Riley Aguilar, who posted ten points. Kamari Horsman was another key player, putting up ten points.

Banning has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season. As for Bloomington, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Banning wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-50 loss against Redlands on the 30th. Bloomington has also already played their next contest, a 43-42 win against Jurupa Valley on the 30th.
