Fernley and Elko are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2021, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Elko took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Fernley, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, Fernley earned a 3-1 win over Lowry. The Vaqueros haven't had any issues with the Buckaroos recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-16, 22-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Elko came up short against Churchill County on Saturday and fell 3-1.

Elko has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. As for Fernley, their win bumped their record up to 21-6.

Fernley took their victory against Elko in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vaqueros since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
