Softball Recap: Jennings County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Jennings County and Franklin County squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Jennings County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since April 7th.

Jennings County got a good showing from Audrey McDonald, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Maycie Ward was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base.

Jennings County's loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Franklin County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11.

As of now, neither Jennings County nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
