            Flag Football Recap: Peninsula Panthers vs. Redondo Union Sea Hawks        
        
		
        
        
            Peninsula extended their losing streak  to seven  on Wednesday, dropping them down to 3-9. They had to suffer through  a    41-0 loss at the hands of the Redondo Union Sea Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 401st, while the Sea Hawks are ranked 15th).
As for Redondo Union, the  win was  the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3. Considering they have won eight games by more than 19  points this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Redondo Union found their leader in sophomore  Kayla Armstrong, who made two total tackles and snagged  three  interceptions which she returned  for a touchdown.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Peninsula is set to  take on  their familiar foe Palos Verdes  at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Redondo Union will  challenge  rival Mira Costa  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (the Sea Hawks 8.3, the Mustangs 13.2) so any  points scored will be well earned.
