Volleyball Recap: Spring Valley Takes a Loss

Spring Valley was the 2-0 winner over Westside when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams on Saturday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spring Valley was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Ava Temoney and Micaela Palmer, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Isabella Talde and her six assists. Temoney was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Westside, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0-1.

Spring Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Fox Creek on the 23rd. As for Westside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Ridge View on the 23rd.
