Basketball Game Preview: Golden Gate Titans vs. Palmetto Ridge Bears

The Golden Gate Titans will face off against the Palmetto Ridge Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Golden Gate had to suffer through a 81-54 loss at the hands of Lehigh. The Titans have struggled against the Lightning recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Palmetto Ridge). They walked away with an 86-73 win over Estero on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Bears who have now won three contests in a row.

Palmetto Ridge's win came from a few key players Golden Gate will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Juju Castillo, who went 9 for 17 on his way to 27 points in addition to five assists and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeriah Muldrow, who almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine rebounds.

Palmetto Ridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Palmetto Ridge's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Golden Gate, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.

Golden Gate ended up a good deal behind Palmetto Ridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, losing 56-38. Can Golden Gate avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
