Basketball Recap: Hudson Fowler Key Part of a Team Effort in Lions Win

There's no place like home for Ozona, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Forsan Buffaloes on Friday, sneaking past 59-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted since November 22, 2024.

Ozona got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hudson Fowler out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 20 boards. Fowler is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 14 games he's played. Christain Villarreal was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine boards.

The victory got Ozona back to even at 11-11. As for Forsan, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Sterling City the next time they take the court. Forsan will host Sterling City at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Ozona will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
