The Pickens Academy Pirates will be taking part in a tournament against the Northside Rams at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Pickens Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Pickens Academy saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell just short of White County by a score of 10-9.

Ace Gregory made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-5. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Griffin Hudson was another key player, scoring two runs.

Meanwhile, Northside had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They put the hurt on the Commanders with a sharp 11-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Pickens Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Northside, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
