Orestimba was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were dealt a 79-45 loss at the hands of the Patterson Tigers. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in December of 2015.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Devon Bell, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Bell is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Rudy Corona, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

Patterson was led to victory by Josiah Mann and Troyce Harrison. Mann went 6 for 11 en route to 14 points in addition to eight boards and five steals, while Harrison went 8 of 18 on his way to 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Mann a new career-high in assists (three). Justice Goins was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

Orestimba's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Patterson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-13.

Orestimba will welcome Sonora at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sonora is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season. Patterson has already played their next match, a 67-52 defeat against Central Catholic on the 29th.
