Softball Recap: Western Guilford Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Western Guilford finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Northern Guilford Nighthawks, falling 19-0. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Nighthawks: they've now lost eight in a row.

Western Guilford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katelyn Russell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Western Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Northern Guilford, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.
