James Lick benefitted from Cortez in 18-0 victory
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Wednesday Vincent Cortez stepped things up a notch to give James Lick the 'W'. Yerba Buena had no answer to Cortez as he scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4.
Cortez's strong effort led James Lick over Yerba Buena and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. James Lick is 10-0 against Yerba Buena going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
