Soccer Recap: Homer Falls Short Against Ranked Palmer

Homer faced Palmer in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Mariners fell just short of the Moose by a score of 3-2. Homer were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Palmer apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Homer has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season. As for Palmer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3-1.

Homer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palmer, they will square off against Kenai Central at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
