Baseball Recap: Carlisle Indians vs. Elysian Fields Yellowjackets
Carlisle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 9-5 to the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-6 last Tuesday.
Will Hardy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also got two hits, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jaydon Nardoza, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Elysian Fields, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-11.
Carlisle wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Waskom on the 15th. As for Elysian Fields, they have also already played their next match, an 8-4 loss against Harleton on the 15th.
