Basketball Recap: Liberty Magnet Beats Jesuit for Their 11th Straight Win

It's playoff time, and Liberty Magnet had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took down the Jesuit Blue Jays 40-21 on Friday. The Patriots are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

Malek Robinson was his usual excellent self, putting up nine points in addition to eight boards and seven assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last 33 games he's played dating back to last season. Kareem Washington was another key player, posting nine points.

Liberty Magnet smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Liberty Magnet's victory bumped their record up to 28-3. As for Jesuit, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-9.

Liberty Magnet has already played their next game, a 43-41 loss against St. Augustine on the 10th. Jesuit does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
