Preview: Tuckahoe Tigers vs. Haldane Blue Devils
Tuckahoe is 8-2 against Haldane since September of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on November 10th. After each having a week off, the pair will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 4:00 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Tuckahoe is ranked 266th, while Haldane is ranked 245th).
Last Saturday, Tuckahoe was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 32-27 to Dobbs Ferry.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jax Colacicco, who threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Jackson Snyder, who picked up 97 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Haldane didn't have too much trouble with Woodlands at home on Saturday as they won 37-20.
Haldane's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Giachinta, who rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Merrick Williams, who rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown.
Dobbs Ferry's victory bumped their season record to 5-2 while Tuckahoe's loss dropped theirs to 4-3.
Tuckahoe came up short against Haldane when the teams last played back in September, falling 21-13. Can Tuckahoe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
