 After a string of four wins, Bishop Machebeuf's good fortune finally ran out  on Wednesday. They fell  4-1 to the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles. Bishop Machebeuf was red-hot at the plate headed into the  match (they scored no less than ten  runs in the four  matchups prior) but Dayspring Christian Academy's pitcher proved too tough.
 Bishop Machebeuf saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Miles Edgar, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Edgar has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.
 On Dayspring Christian Academy's side,  Gage Davis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  struck out eight batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits. Davis was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-2 with a  double and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Owen Steward was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 Bishop Machebeuf's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 5-11. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, their victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-5.
