Soccer Game Preview: Joshua vs. Cleburne

Joshua and Cleburne are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2020, but likely not for long. The Joshua Owls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cleburne Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Joshua headed into their last game having not scored more than one goal for four straight, but Mansfield Timberview let them put that streak behind them. Everything went Joshua's way against Mansfield Timberview on Friday as Joshua made off with a 4-1 win. With the Owls ahead 3-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

They hit Mansfield Timberview with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cayden Howard (2), Carson Kilcoin, and Jack Ellis.

Meanwhile, while Cleburne scored more goals than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. They and Centennial finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets as the team haven't won a game since January 3rd.

Joshua moved to 4-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Cleburne's draw gives them a new season record of 1-3-4.
