Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Gets the Win

Pinecrest won the last time they faced Richmond Senior, and Aubrey Taylor did her part to make sure it happened again. The Patriots came out on top in a nail-biter against the Raiders on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2 thanks in part to Taylor, who had 16 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Pinecrest took Richmond Senior into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 13-25, 23-25, 15-7.

Pinecrest's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Richmond Senior, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pinecrest will take on rival Jack Britt at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Richmond Senior is set to challenge their familiar foe Pine Forest at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
