Basketball Recap: Drake Nemetz Key Part of Team Effort in Huskies Win

There's no place like home for West Holt, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They secured a 53-47 W over the Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

West Holt's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drake Nemetz led the charge by going 9-for-13 on his way to 22 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zach Hooey, who posted ten points in addition to four steals and three blocks.

West Holt's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points over those games. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 6-18.
