Basketball Recap: Martin County Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Martin County Cardinals ended up a good deal behind the Hurricane Redskins and lost 82-66.

It was another big night for Carson O'Dell, who went 7-for-10 from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points and five rebounds for Hurricane. O'Dell's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Parker O'Dell was another key player, going 8-for-15 en route to 21 points.

Martin County's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Hurricane, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Martin County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-81 defeat against South Charleston on the 8th. As for Hurricane, they have also already played their next matchup, a 72-58 loss against Tug Valley on the 11th.
