Basketball Recap: The Ambrose School Victorious

The Ambrose School won the last time they faced Melba, and Lincoln Mathis did his part to make sure it happened again. The Ambrose School Archers walked away with a 63-50 victory over the Melba Mustangs on Thursday thanks in part to Mathis, who posted 22 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. The game was his ninth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Aidan Kinney, who put up four points in addition to 11 rebounds and three steals. Those 11 boards gave him a new career-high.

The Ambrose School's record now sits at 7-4. As for Melba, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-7.

The Ambrose School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-60 defeat against Cole Valley Christian on the 13th. As for Melba, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-58 loss against Parma on the 11th.
