Basketball Recap: Harrison Comes Up Short

Harrison lost against Meridian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Harrison Hornets were beaten by the Meridian Mustangs 62-17. The matchup marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Harrison dropped their record down to 6-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Meridian, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrison will welcome Bullock Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Harrison is facing Bullock Creek at the right time seeing as Bullock Creek is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Meridian, they will square off against Clare at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Clare will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Meridian surely won't give up without a fight.
