Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Cypress Creek turned things around against Freedom on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Patriots 51-48.

Meanwhile, Lake Buena Vista was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 63-59 to West Orange. The loss continues a trend for the Vipers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Lake Buena Vista now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Cypress Creek, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-11.

Everything came up roses for Cypress Creek against Lake Buena Vista in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 74-39 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Lake Buena Vista's Bryan Mwangovya, who went 11 for 25 on his way to 27 points.
