Basketball Recap: Aubri Ingram's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ben Davis over Lawrence North

Ben Davis lost against Lawrence North back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Ben Davis Giants took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lawrence North Wildcats. The Giants have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ben Davis' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aubri Ingram, who went 8 of 15 on her way to 22 points. Those 22 points gave Ingram a new career-high. Shania Curry was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Even though they lost, Ben Davis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive games.

It was another big night for Keadriah Butler, who went 7 for 10 en route to 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals for Lawrence North. Another player making a difference was Naja Winston, who posted ten points and eight boards.

Ben Davis' record now sits at 11-10. As for Lawrence North, they moved to 11-8 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Ben Davis has already played their next contest, a 44-31 defeat against Westfield on the 28th. As for Lawrence North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 67-60 win against Fishers on the 28th.
