Baseball Recap: Somerset Berkley Regional Snags Tenth Victory in Last 13 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Middleborough, Somerset Berkley Regional was happy to have turned things around on Sunday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Seekonk Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-6 back in April.

Kyle Sherman Jr. made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Sherman Jr. was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Jayden Cruz was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five stolen bases and two runs. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Anthony Alderman also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Somerset Berkley Regional has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Seekonk, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.
