Softball Recap: Aldine Has No Trouble Against Westfield

Aldine's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on Westfield with a sharp 18-6 victory. Aldine hasn't had any issues with Westfield recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Aldine's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-12. As for Westfield, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aldine will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Eisenhower at 6:30 p.m. on March 21st. Westfield will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against MacArthur at 5:00 p.m. on March 18th. MacArthur will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Westfield surely won't give up without a fight.
