Basketball Recap: Quality Education Academy Snags Sixth Win in Last Seven Games

Quality Education Academy won the last time they faced Combine Academy Global and things went their way on Friday too. The Quality Education Academy Fighting Pharaohs walked away with a 65-52 win over the Combine Academy Global Goats. Given the Fighting Pharaohs' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Goats are ranked 327th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Combine Academy Global saw an underclassman step up: sophomore John Stokes III dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards. Stokes III is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sterling Bohn, who posted five points and nine rebounds.

Quality Education Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. Combine Academy Global has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Quality Education Academy has already played their next contest (against Winston Salem Christian Silver), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Combine Academy Global does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
