Baseball Recap: Windham Gets the Win

After losing to Ellis RVT the last time they met, Windham decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Whippets came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 12-9 on Tuesday.

Windham saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Axel Ortiz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave Ortiz a new career-high. Another was Alex Saurez, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Windham's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Ellis RVT, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Windham and Ellis RVT will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Whippets will face off against rival Wheeler at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ellis RVT is set to take on their familiar foe Windham RVT at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
