Softball Recap: New Providence Pioneers vs. Rahway Indians
New Providence had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the Rahway Indians onto the board and left with a 12-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as New Providence also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.
For Rahway's part, they saw one different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gloria Garay, who went 1-for-2 with a stolen base.
Rahway's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
New Providence will head out on the road to take on Hillside at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rahway, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-2 defeat vs. Oak Knoll on the 10th.
