Volleyball Recap: Life Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Life Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Southland Christian FLAMES, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

Life Christian Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-16, 25-18.

Southland Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Fabiana Rondon out in front who had four digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Rondon a new career-high.

Life Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Southland Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Life Christian Academy and Southland Christian will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Lions see the court they'll take on City of Life Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on October 9. As for Southland Christian, their break will end when they face Poinciana Christian Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on October 3.
