Soccer Recap: Newark Comes Up Short

After flying high against Penn Yan Academy last Thursday, Newark came back down to earth. The Reds came up short against the Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders on Tuesday, falling 5-0. Newark were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Palmyra-Macedon apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Newark's loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Palmyra-Macedon, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.

Coincidentally, Newark and Palmyra-Macedon will both be playing Midlakes the next time they take the pitch. The Red Raiders will host the Screaming Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Reds will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
