Basketball Recap: Anacortes Takes a Loss

Anacortes lost against Lynden last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Anacortes Seahawks took a 51-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lynden Lions. The game marked the Seahawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Anacortes has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season. As for Lynden, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 22-0.

Anacortes has already played their next contest (against Bellingham), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lynden, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions duke it out with the Cougars at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakewood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine games -- so hopefully Lynden likes a good challenge.
