Baseball Recap: Liberty Find Success

With a playoff win on the line, Liberty rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They skirted past the La Serna Lancers 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bison have posted since April 17th.

The win made it two in a row for Liberty and bumps their season record up to 13-11. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for La Serna, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-13 record this season.

Liberty will take on Elsinore at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Bison's hitters will have their work cut out for them. La Serna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
