Cairo is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 36-7 victory over Liberty County. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Syrupmakers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Panthers are ranked 225th).
Meanwhile, Troup County humbled Westover with a 45-14 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-0.
Cairo better keep an eye on Garrison Edwards. He was instrumental in Troup County's win, throwing for 346 yards and five TDs while completing 95.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 49 yards. Those 346 passing yards gave Edwards a new career-high. Davis Moncus was in the mix too, providing Troup County with two touchdowns.

Thankfully for the Syrupmakers, Logan Sinkfield (who rushed for 84 yards on only ten carries, and also threw for 76 yards and one TD) won't be suiting up this time.
