Basketball Game Preview: Bowdon Red Devils vs. Mt. Zion Eagles

Bowdon is 2-8 against Mt. Zion since December of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Bowdon Red Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Mt. Zion Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Bowdon will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Last Wednesday, Bowdon didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Trion, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win.

Meanwhile, Mt. Zion was beaten by Manchester 63-19 on Friday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bowdon pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points over those games. As for Mt. Zion, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-19.

Bowdon was able to grind out a solid win over Mt. Zion in their previous meeting last Tuesday, winning 60-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bowdon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
