Basketball Recap: Leon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Leon fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Rickards on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 68-61 to the Raiders. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 54-52 to the Raiders when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Leon still got an impressive performance from Elijah Knight, who shot 57% from the field on his way to 20 points and four steals. The game was Knight's fifth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamari Thomas, who went 6-for-9 en route to 14 points.

Rickards got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Calvin Thomas out in front who posted 25 points. Thomas has been hot, having posted 16 or more points the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tarek Caesor, who earned 18 points.

Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Rickards, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Leon will face off against Dougherty at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rickards, they will take on Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
