Basketball Game Preview: Del Oro Suns vs. Golden Valley Bulldogs

The Del Oro Suns are taking a road trip to challenge the Golden Valley Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Del Oro knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Golden Valley likes a good challenge.

On Wednesday, Del Oro strolled past East Bakersfield with points to spare, taking the game 66-49.

Meanwhile, Golden Valley came into Wednesday's game having lost 15 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past Foothill with a 61-57 victory on Wednesday.

Del Oro pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Golden Valley, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-19.

Del Oro didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Golden Valley when the teams last played two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 51-45 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Del Oro since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
