Basketball Recap: Christian Learning Center Finds Playoff Glory Versus Providence Classical Christian Academy

It's playoff time, and Christian Learning Center had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Providence Classical Christian Academy Panthers 44-42. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 65-29 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Christian Learning Center's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Easton Rhodes led the charge by putting up 15 points. Jackson Bean was another key player, scoring 11 points.

Providence Classical Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lance Zrodlowski, who posted 18 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Zrodlowski has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ben Mattull, who had nine points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Christian Learning Center has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season. Providence Classical Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

Christian Learning Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 93-66 loss against North County Christian on the 15th. As for Providence Classical Christian Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 75-49 defeat against Ozarks Christian Academy on the 15th.
