Baseball Recap: Post Falls Has No Trouble Against Rigby

Post Falls was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Rigby on Saturday. Post Falls put the hurt on Rigby with a sharp 7-1 win. Post Falls not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16, 2024.

Caden Reese made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Reese was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Kyler Cooley was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Ayden Carrasco was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Post Falls back to even at 2-2. As for Rigby, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Post Falls and Rigby will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Post Falls will take on rival Lewiston at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Rigby is set to challenge their familiar foe Madison at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
