Basketball Game Preview: Bridgeland Bears vs. Westlake Chaparrals

The Bridgeland Bears will take on the Westlake Chaparrals at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Bridgeland is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 71-63 win over Brenham on Tuesday. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 194th, while the Cubs are ranked 431st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Westlake posted their biggest victory since February 19th on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 65-45 margin over Oak Ridge.

Bridgeland is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Westlake, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
