Softball Recap: Windham RVT Finds Home Field Redemption Against Goodwin Tech

There's no place like home for Windham RVT, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 13-10 win over the Goodwin Tech Gladiators on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Mighty Tigers in their matchups with the Gladiators: they've now won four in a row.

Hailey Andrews was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and seven unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). Andrews was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Windham RVT let Genna Sargent and Lily Howlett-Reynolds run wild. Sargent went a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs, while Howlett-Reynolds went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those doubles marked the first that Sargent has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madisen Yanez, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Windham RVT kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
