Chester got themselves on the board against DuQuoin on Wednesday, but DuQuoin never followed suit. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Indians 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Yellowjackets: when they faced off against the Indians back in March, they had to take a 8-6 loss.

The result came thanks to Lexie Mott's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Chester saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Caby, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

The victory got Chester back to even at 14-14. As for DuQuoin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Chester nor DuQuoin have any future games scheduled.
