On Friday, South Kingstown faced Coventry in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The South Kingstown Rebels enjoyed a cozy 67-53 win over the Coventry Oakers. Winning may never get old, but the Rebels sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Kingstown to victory, but perhaps none more so than James Wilson, who posted 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Chaloux, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five boards.

Several Oakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Broady, who went 5 of 9 en route to 15 points and eight rebounds. Broady is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Brayden Martin was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 12 points and six assists.

South Kingstown pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Coventry, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

South Kingstown didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-67 win against Pilgrim on the 4th. As for Coventry, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 75-39 victory against St. Raphael Academy on the 4th.
