Baseball Recap: Tantasqua Regional Extends Winning Streak to Three

Tantasqua Regional put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Barnstable Red Hawks with a sharp 14-3 victory.

Miles Blake tossed a big game, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits.

At the plate, Lucas MacNevin was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Brady Willitts, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Tantasqua Regional always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Tantasqua Regional's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Barnstable, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Tantasqua Regional will head out to face off against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional on Saturday. As for Barnstable, they will host Duxbury at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
