Football Recap: Dixie Heights Comes Up Short

Dixie Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 49-7 loss at the hands of Covington Catholic. While losing is never fun, Dixie Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky football rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Covington Catholic is ranked 16th).

Dixie Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Covington Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Dixie Heights will look to defend their home field on Friday against Henry Clay at 7:30 p.m. As for Covington Catholic, they will venture away from home to take on Beechwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
