Soccer Recap: Sebastian River Takes a Loss

Sebastian River was the 2-1 winner over Melbourne when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Sebastian River Sharks fell just short of the Melbourne Bulldogs by a score of 4-3 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 178th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 47th).

Sebastian River hit Melbourne with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sergio Magdaleno, Giovanni Casalini, and Yahir Zamarripa.

Sebastian River's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-2. As for Melbourne, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3-1.

Sebastian River didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Central on the 14th. As for Melbourne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 4-0 loss against Viera on the 13th.
