Slidell lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Fontainebleau, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. Slidell never let Fontainebleau get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Bulldogs on March 12th, they had to take a 7-5 defeat.

Slidell's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-9. As for Fontainebleau, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Slidell Tigers face off against Destrehan Wildcats at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Slidell's pitchers better be ready for this one: Destrehan has averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Fontainebleau, they will challenge Pearl River at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fontainebleau is facing Pearl River at the right time seeing as Pearl River is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
