Baseball Recap: Canyon Ridge Takes a Loss

Canyon Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 10-4 to the Madison Bobcats. The Riverhawks were not able to make up for their loss to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in March of 2020.

Canyon Ridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kohyn Barnes, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Canyon Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Madison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

While Canyon Ridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
