Avon put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Clay by a score of 2-0.

While Avon won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22.

Lily Hamilton paced Avon's offense, picking up nine kills. Hamilton got some help from Kaitlyn Pojman and her ten assists. Caroline Busold controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Avon's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Clay, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Avon has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Archbishop Hoban on the 30th. As for Clay, they will face off against Whitmer at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
